White Teas

White tea is made from tender freshly plucked buds. Even before the chlorophyll is produced, buds that are not yet open are picked and dried. It’s the least processed of all the teas, having a distinguishable character, with the presence of delicate down hairs on long silvery buds. It is extremely light weight and produces a pale brew with very little caffeine.

Brewing Time – Brew for about 10 minutes to get maximum flavor and to get a second infusion. Or, brew for 5 minutes to get three or more infusions with the same leaves by steeping for another 5 minutes each time. White tea enthusiasts have touted its many health benefits with the greatest benefits being its effects on weight loss.
